Derek + Jenn I Edmonton Wedding Photographer

I know what you are going to say… I’ve been a bad blogger!

It’s not that I haven’t wanted to blog it’s just that i’ve been so busy capturing beautiful photos and editing said photos, meeting with new and present clients, paperwork, so much to do that there really hasn’t been time. On top of that I am a mom and it is summer, and enjoying this short season with my family is on my “list” too! Enough of the excuses… let’s get down to business!

 

A large portion of my business is referral business. Jennifer was referred to me by her wonderful co-worker Kathryn. (Thanks Kathryn!!)

I really, truly believe things happen for a reason and in mind that includes the clients I am lucky enough to work with, and I am so darn thankful that Jenn and Derek came my way!

Derek and Jenn are two very special people… they love their home, gardening, the Roughriders and most importantly their dog. They love spending quality time with one another and they could not have planned a more perfect wedding day. Starting with choosing an awesome wedding party, their day went off without a hitch.

Derek and Jenn started with a “first look” behind the Hotel MacDonald. What a touching moment! We then headed off for formal photos. Since cherry blossoms played a special part in their wedding decor, we took full advantage of the blooms for magical photos. (side note: cherry blossoms are only in bloom for a few short weeks, here in Edmonton) We spent some time in Edmonton’s gorgeous river valley, then spent a little bit of time at Mckay Avenue school (since Jennifer is a teacher!). After a very special ceremony and tea ceremony at the Citadel, we were off for a gorgeous and intimate reception at Edmonton’s Hotel MacDonald.

Jenn + Derek, I am so happy you loved your wedding photos! I am beyond grateful that you chose me to capture your special day! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the 2 of you! I feel like the luckiest photographer in the world on a daily basis and you are one of the reasons why! I loved meeting your friends and families and I could feel how much love and appreciation they have for the 2 of you!
